Monday: TLW complete weekly vocabulary packet
** Weekly vocabulary quiz will be Thursday this week.

Tuesday: TLW review various prewriting strategies in compostion writing.
* Class discussion about effective use of graphic organizers to properly categorize writing topics.
* Individual completion of graphic organizor to review concept and prepare for essay assignment
* 5 paragraph essay for homework; must include graphic organizor. Due Wednesday

Wednesday: TLW examine the use of setting as a character in a story.
* Collect essay assignment
* Define and give examples of setting used as a character in literature
* Read “There Will Come Soft Rains” by Ray Bradbury
* Bring Holt Reader
* Complete questions in margins if not complete in class

Thursday: TLW review setting and vocabulary.
* Individual study time before quizzes
* Short quiz on “There Will Come Soft Rains” and setting
* Vocabulary Quiz

Friday: TLW review prior Language Arts knowledge
* Complete ThinkLink Language Arts practice test
